Kobrea Launches First Copper Drilling Campaign in the Malargüe Western Mining District

The El Perdido project has become the first initiative within the Malargüe Western Mining District — a platform developed by Impulsa Mendoza to promote responsible exploration in the south of the province — to begin drilling activities. The milestone marks a new stage for copper development and reinforces a model based on technical planning, international investment and local talent.

Impulsa Mendoza Offers Free Training Programs to Strengthen the Mining Value Chain

The training programs developed under “Impulsando el Conocimiento” are asynchronous and designed to strengthen the capabilities of suppliers and potential suppliers within the mining value chain. The courses include sustainability content developed together with Ausenco and capital markets training created in collaboration with BYMA, in addition to new educational initiatives that will be incorporated in 2026.

Public participation once again played a central role in Mendoza’s environmental review process, as citizens expressed broad support for the Potasio Cancambria project during its Public Hearing. The initiative aims to evaluate and develop the potassium salt potential in Malargüe, a strategic resource for fertilizer production and the agro-industrial sector.
