The Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata training program completed its second module with a networking event designed to create new business opportunities, encourage collaboration, and support the growth of local suppliers and entrepreneurs.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to help businesses and entrepreneurs in Uspallata become more competitive and better prepared to join value chains associated with mining development and other strategic industries in Mendoza.
The event opened with remarks from Julia Echegaray, President of the Mujeres que Inspiran Foundation, who highlighted the importance of creating spaces for training, networking, and collaboration to unlock local talent and expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses in the region.
Sofía Raich, Director of Administration, Finance, and Sustainable Development at Impulsa Mendoza, then addressed participants and presented certificates to those who completed the program’s second module. She emphasized the importance of training and local capacity building as key tools for ensuring that communities can benefit from the opportunities created by the growth of the mining industry in Mendoza.
The program continued with a presentation from representatives of Gualcamayo Mine, who shared experiences related to supplier development, the integration of local companies, and the opportunities mining creates for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises interested in joining the sector’s value chain.
A major focus of the event was access to financing. Representatives from the Mendoza Liaison Unit of the Federal Investment Council (CFI) presented financial tools available to support productive projects, encourage investment, and strengthen businesses with growth potential.
Representatives from Banco de la Nación Argentina, Uspallata branch, and BBVA also introduced financing alternatives for entrepreneurs and SMEs, providing information on credit lines, financial services, and business support programs.
Following a question-and-answer session, participants presented their projects, businesses, and value propositions to representatives of institutions, financial organizations, and mining sector leaders. This exchange helped showcase local initiatives, generate strategic contacts, and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
