The potential of Mendoza

Copper demand is estimated to double by 2050, potentially leading to a deficit of up to four million tons by 2030. Argentina had gone five years without producing copper, and today, according to international projections, it is positioned as one of the countries with the greatest potential.

This mineral is found primarily in the Andean regions of central and northwestern Argentina, regions that have historically shown a lower level of economic development. Mendoza has great potential for copper production, and its growing demand presents a significant opportunity for our province to become a copper exporter.

Mendoza, with its large industrial capacity and highly skilled workforce, will be key to the mining industry of the future, with the potential to generate thousands of direct jobs (within the mining industry) and indirect jobs (in metalworking, construction, knowledge industries, communications, gastronomy, hospitality, and all types of services related to mining).
