Impulsa Mendoza has launched three new online training courses through its e-learning platform as part of the Impulsando el Conocimiento program, an initiative designed to expand access to technical education for students, professionals, entrepreneurs, suppliers, and anyone interested in learning more about the mining industry.
The courses are completely free, delivered online in a self-paced format, allowing participants to study whenever it best fits their schedule, and include a certificate of completion.
Available Courses
Mining Projects – Extracting Minerals from the Earth
This course explains how a mineral deposit is transformed into a mining operation, covering mine planning, extraction methods, and the technical, economic, environmental, and safety considerations involved in designing a mining project.
Mining: From Scientific Discovery to Engineering Project
Participants will explore the complete journey from the initial geological discovery through exploration, evaluation, feasibility studies, and engineering design, gaining an understanding of how a mineral resource becomes a viable mining project.
Geology and Mining in Mendoza
This introductory course examines the geological characteristics of Mendoza Province, the formation of its mineral resources, and the factors that make the region one of Argentina’s most promising areas for sustainable mining development.
Internationally Recognized Learning Materials
The content of all three courses is based on Minerals Exploration and Mining Essentials, by Robert Stevens (Pakawau GeoManagement Inc., 2010), an internationally recognized reference publication widely used in mineral exploration and mining education.
