Mendoza Finance Day Strengthens Ties Between Mining Projects, International Investors, and Financial Education

The Mendoza Finance Day & TSX Roadshow brought together mining companies, project developers, investors, and representatives of international capital markets at the Mendoza Stock Exchange. Impulsa Mendoza CEO Sebastián Piña highlighted the progress of Andean Bridge, efforts to develop local financial expertise, and the strategy to position Mendoza as a financial hub for the Andean mining industry.

Mendoza hosted a new edition of the Mendoza Finance Day & TSX Roadshow, bringing together mining companies, project developers, international investors, and financial industry professionals. The event focused on connecting mining projects with global capital markets while building the financial expertise needed to support the industry’s growth.

Co-organized by Impulsa Mendoza, the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), the event was held at the Mendoza Stock Exchange. It also marked the third and final day of the fifth Argentina Critical Minerals Summit 2026, organized by The Net-Zero Circle by IN-VR, following two days of activities in Buenos Aires.

The opening session brought together Mendoza’s Minister of Energy and Environment, Jimena Latorre; IN-VR Chairman Stelios Papagrigoriou; Guillaume Légaré, Head of South America at the Toronto Stock Exchange; and Santiago Pérez Araujo, Director of the Mendoza Stock Exchange.

Impulsa Mendoza CEO Sebastián Piña highlighted progress on two key priorities: expanding access to international financing for mining projects and developing the local expertise and institutional capabilities needed to support the industry’s growth.

“We are becoming what we set out to be: a place where investors and project owners connect, while also building the foundations of a broader financial ecosystem,” Piña said.

Mendoza Builds a Stronger Mining Finance Ecosystem

For Impulsa Mendoza, Finance Day is part of a long-term effort to help mining projects secure funding at every stage of development.

Piña stressed that attracting international investors is only part of the equation. Building a sustainable mining finance ecosystem also requires local professionals and institutions to understand how capital markets work, what international investors expect, and which financing options are available to mining companies.

“We already have a solid educational foundation, and we want to build greater expertise in Mendoza about how mining is financed. That knowledge will ultimately help more projects move into operation,” he said.

Minister Jimena Latorre echoed that message during the opening session, emphasizing the need for skilled professionals, strong institutions, and internationally recognized standards to help mining projects attract investment.

“Natural resources alone are not enough. We need strong institutions, skilled professionals, and international standards. Education is essential to turning opportunities into real projects,” Latorre said.

She also outlined Mendoza’s goal of becoming a regional financial hub, connecting mining projects across the Andean region with international capital markets.

Andean Bridge Connects Regional Mining Projects With Global Investors

Andean Bridge was a major focus of this year’s Finance Day. Launched in Mendoza, the initiative aims to connect mining projects in Argentina and across the Andean region with international investors and capital markets.

Piña pointed to the participation of the Toronto Stock Exchange, IN-VR, Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos (BYMA), and other financial institutions as evidence of a growing network of cooperation that extends well beyond Mendoza.

“This is an ongoing process of strengthening the connection between all the provinces, the entire region, and international capital through Mendoza. That is exactly what we are working to achieve,” he said.

Andean Bridge helps mining companies explore financing options, build relationships with potential investors, and prepare their projects for international investment opportunities.

Guillaume Légaré, representing the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange, emphasized the value of bringing regional mining opportunities to global capital markets.

“We want to connect the best projects from Mendoza, Argentina, and across the region with international capital. With Mendoza’s ecosystem, we can accomplish this together,” he said.

IN-VR Chairman Stelios Papagrigoriou recalled that Andean Bridge was first announced at the Mendoza Stock Exchange during the inaugural Finance Day.

Since then, more than 100 projects have participated in the initiative, according to Papagrigoriou. The program has also supported activity involving stock exchange listings, mergers and acquisitions, while generating growing interest in specialized financial training.

Mining Companies Pitch Projects and Meet Potential Investors

The Finance Day program featured discussions with sponsors, advisers, and representatives connected to the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. Sessions covered Canadian stock exchange listing requirements, access to capital markets, and the role of financial, legal, and accounting advisers in preparing mining companies for investment.

Guillaume Légaré also joined Joaquín Marías, CEO, President, and Director of Argenta Silver Corp., for a discussion about building a mining company in Argentina and raising capital internationally.

Hernán Morhorlang, an economist with PromArgentina’s Investment Department, presented financing support tools available to companies seeking investment.

A key part of the program was dedicated to exploration and pre-production mining projects, with 14 presentation opportunities for developers to pitch their proposals to prospective investors.

The presentations were followed by business matchmaking meetings, giving mining companies and investors the opportunity to connect directly, exchange information, and explore potential financing arrangements.

For Impulsa Mendoza, these one-on-one meetings are a central part of the Finance Day model, designed to move beyond traditional industry networking and create opportunities for direct engagement between project developers and potential investors.

More Financial Training and International Events Planned

Looking ahead, Piña said Mendoza will continue expanding its international investment networks while strengthening financial education and professional development opportunities.

One of the next major events will be an Andean Bridge conference scheduled for April 2027, returning to the larger conference format held in early 2026.

“This Finance Day focused on more targeted events, bringing projects and investors together. In April, we will return to a large-scale conference,” Piña said.

He explained that the two formats serve different but complementary purposes. Larger conferences bring industry participants together, encourage collaboration, and facilitate knowledge sharing, while smaller matchmaking events allow companies and investors to pursue more specific business opportunities.

Piña also highlighted the upcoming Sustainable Mining Summit in November, which will feature training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities focused on mining development and financing tools.
