Mendoza is preparing to host the 2026 Sustainable Mining Summit, a two-day event focused on the opportunities, challenges and future of Argentina’s mining industry.
The Summit will take place November 19–20 at the Hilton Mendoza, with government officials, mining companies, investors, academics, international organizations, suppliers and industry experts expected to attend.
Registration is already open, with several options available depending on how attendees plan to participate.
The Visitor Pass provides access to the conference sessions, coffee breaks and networking areas throughout the two-day event.
The Mining Pass includes those benefits as well as the “Capital Markets for the Mining Sector” course, a program featured at AME Roundup in Vancouver. It also provides a concierge service to help attendees connect and schedule meetings with other participants, plus access to exclusive events, including the closing cocktail reception at a Mendoza winery.
Group passes are available for companies, institutions and organizations planning to send several members of their teams, with different options based on group participation.
Registration details and information about each pass are available on the official Sustainable Mining Summit website.
Mendoza’s Mining Industry Enters a New Stage
The 2026 Summit follows the inaugural event held in 2024, when Mendoza welcomed governors from Argentina’s Copper Roundtable, mining industry leaders, international experts and representatives from sectors tied to the country’s productive and energy development.
That first Summit helped bring Mendoza back into the national conversation around sustainable mining, investment and project financing.
Two years later, the province is heading into the event in a different environment. Exploration activity has increased, new projects are moving forward and Mendoza has introduced new tools to connect its geological potential with investors and capital markets. At the same time, initiatives are underway to expand opportunities for local suppliers and strengthen the skills and capabilities needed by the industry.
This year’s agenda will be organized around three main areas: Institutions and Governance, Environment and Society, and Economics and Finance.
Sessions will cover regulatory and institutional frameworks, environmental sustainability, community engagement, supplier development, innovation, project financing and access to capital markets.
The Summit will bring together the public and private sectors, investors, international organizations, universities, suppliers and experts from Argentina and abroad to share experiences, examine industry trends and develop new connections across the mining sector.
The program will also look at mining’s role in economic growth, job creation, regional development and the energy transition as global demand for critical minerals continues to grow.
