Impulsa Mendoza and the Association of Metallurgical Industries of the Province of Mendoza (ASINMET) launched the Introductory Workplace Prevention and Safety Course, an in-person training program designed for workers and key members of the local community.
The first session was held on August 20 at Impulsa Mendoza’s Uspallata office, marking the beginning of a three-session training cycle focused on providing practical knowledge and tools to prevent workplace risks, strengthen safety conditions, and improve preparedness and response in emergency situations.
The initiative is part of the joint efforts carried out by Impulsa Mendoza and ASINMET to bring technical training opportunities directly to local communities, particularly in areas connected to the needs of the productive sector and the development of new local capabilities.
Practical Tools for Risk Prevention and Emergency Response
The training sessions cover industrial safety and risk assessment, fire prevention and response, proper use of fire extinguishers, and identification of different types of fires.
The program also provides tools for developing contingency plans, organizing emergency response teams, and implementing protocols for emergencies and earthquakes.
The first session, held on August 20, reached full capacity and was led by Sebastián Raiti. The next sessions will take place on August 28 and September 3 at Impulsa Mendoza’s Uspallata office. Participants who complete the training will receive ASINMET certification.
Training to Strengthen Local Capabilities
The program is part of Impulsa Mendoza’s broader efforts to strengthen the capabilities of communities connected to the growth of productive activities and provide them with the tools needed to take advantage of new opportunities emerging across the region.
Impulsa Mendoza’s presence in Uspallata makes it possible to bring initiatives of this kind directly to workers, suppliers, and other local stakeholders, facilitating access to technical training without requiring participants to travel to other parts of the province.
Through partnerships with institutions such as ASINMET, Impulsa Mendoza seeks to expand access to professional training and help ensure that productive growth is accompanied by stronger technical capabilities, safer workplaces, and better conditions for local workforce development.
