Impulsa Mendoza Launches New Financing Initiative for Mining Rights Holders

The initiative seeks to preselect mining rights with the potential to be included in a Closed-End Mining Investment Fund as part of Impulsa Mendoza’s strategy to develop new financing alternatives, mobilize capital, and attract investment to the province’s mining sector.

Impulsa Mendoza has launched a call aimed at preselecting mining rights with the potential to become part of a Closed-End Mining Investment Fund as part of its strategy to create new financing alternatives, mobilize capital, and attract investment to the province’s mining sector.

The call is open to holders of mining rights of the Malargüe Western Mining District (MDMO I, II and III) and the Mendoza Northern Mining District (MNDM). Its purpose is to identify and evaluate mining rights that may be preselected for potential inclusion in a closed-end investment fund focused on the development of mining projects in Mendoza.

The initiative is part of the “Driving Financing” strategy, through which Impulsa Mendoza is developing investment vehicles, financial capabilities, and opportunities to connect projects with capital, with the goal of strengthening Mendoza’s position as a financial hub for the mining industry.

The call represents an initial stage for identifying and assessing opportunities. The submission of a mining right does not imply its automatic inclusion in the Fund. Each proposal will undergo a technical and economic analysis, followed by an evaluation process to determine whether it meets the necessary conditions to be recommended as a potential asset.

What is the Fund?

The Closed-End Mining Investment Fund—subject to authorization by the National Securities Commission (CNV)—is designed as a vehicle to channel resources and capital into mining projects in Mendoza.

Impulsa Mendoza will participate as Investment Advisor, while Max Capital Asset Management S.A., a mutual fund management company duly authorized by the CNV, will serve as the Fund Manager, and Banco Comafi S.A., a mutual fund depositary company duly authorized by the CNV, will act as Depositary.

The Fund is designed as a vehicle for channeling resources and capital into mining assets, with the aim of distributing investments across different mining properties.

Projects submitted through the call will undergo a specialized technical and economic assessment. Based on this analysis, Impulsa Mendoza will issue a non-binding recommendation. The final decision regarding participation in the preselected mining rights will rest with the Fund’s management.

Who can participate?

Individuals or legal entities holding mining rights of MDMO I, MDMO II, MDMO III or MNDM may submit an Expression of Interest, regardless of the mineral involved.

Participation is voluntary and does not restrict the holder’s ability to negotiate, assign, transfer, or offer the mining right to third parties while the evaluation process is underway.

How will the evaluation process work?

The process consists of three stages:

Technical and economic assessment. A specialized technical consulting firm supporting Impulsa Mendoza will assess the geological potential of the mining right, the work required for its development, associated costs, and its economic feasibility. The assessment will also include the preparation of a comprehensive business plan.

Impulsa Mendoza evaluation. Based on this analysis, Impulsa Mendoza, in its role as Investment Advisor, will issue a recommendation regarding the potential inclusion of the mining right in the Fund.

Decision by the Fund Manager. The final decision regarding the potential inclusion of each asset will be made by the Fund Manager. Impulsa Mendoza’s recommendation will be non-binding.

All information provided will be treated as confidential, and a confidentiality agreement will be executed with each interested party.
