As part of the Impulsando el Conocimiento program, Impulsa Mendoza is continuing its “Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata” training cycle and has launched its second module, focused on strengthening business capabilities and helping local suppliers integrate into the mining value chain and other demanding markets.
The initiative is carried out together with the Mendoza Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CaMEM) and Fundación Mujeres Que Inspiran. It is designed to help entrepreneurs and local companies better understand how the mining industry operates while improving their ability to grow and compete.
This new stage, titled “Preparing Your Company for New Productive Opportunities,” focuses on strengthening business management in order to access new markets.
The module addresses key areas such as business formalization, financial planning and the use of simple yet scalable administrative tools. It also includes guidance on developing professional commercial proposals and introduces basic concepts related to quality standards and operational requirements, promoting the professionalization of local suppliers as a key factor for expanding and sustaining business opportunities.
Sebastián Piña, CEO of Impulsa Mendoza, stated: “We are entering a new cycle of development based on modern and sustainable mining. To take advantage of the opportunities ahead, it is essential to be prepared, properly trained and committed to the highest sustainability standards.”
The training cycle is organized into three sequential modules. The first module, “Understanding the Mining Industry and Its Opportunities,” recently concluded with strong participation, and the program now moves forward with this second chapter.
Each module includes five in-person sessions held once a week, with each class lasting three hours. Sessions will take place at the Impulsa Mendoza offices in Uspallata, and capacity is limited.

A Program Focused on Local Development
Among the main objectives of the Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata cycle are the development of entrepreneurs with a strategic understanding of the mining industry, the strengthening of local businesses through formalization and professionalization processes, training in safety, quality and sustainability standards, and the creation of a potential supplier base for future projects in the region.
The initiative seeks to consolidate a local supplier ecosystem capable of integrating sustainably into larger-scale value chains, generating employment, added value and long-term regional development in Uspallata.
The program is especially aimed at local microenterprises and SMEs, women- and youth-led ventures, suppliers looking to diversify their markets, and entrepreneurs with ideas related to mining services, promoting broad participation while strengthening the local productive network.
