Impulsa Mendoza continues to expand its territorial presence with the opening of its new office in Malargüe, a space designed to strengthen ties with the local business community, promote new investment opportunities, and support the development of suppliers connected to mining activity in southern Mendoza.
The opening of the new office was led by Sebastián Piña, CEO of Impulsa Mendoza, and was attended by representatives of the productive sector and stakeholders involved in mining development across southern Mendoza.
“This office is a bridge that allows us to be closer to the territory and better informed about what is happening in the mining industry and the opportunities the sector is creating. We are working intensively to improve the competitiveness of our suppliers, and we want to provide that support from Malargüe as well, with a permanent presence and direct contact,” said Sebastián Piña, CEO of Impulsa Mendoza.
The Malargüe office joins Impulsa Mendoza’s existing location in Uspallata and is part of a broader strategy to bring resources, information, training, and opportunities closer to communities and businesses located in areas directly connected to the growth of Mendoza’s mining industry.

A Permanent Team in Southern Mendoza
Also present at the opening were Matías Olate and Martina Rojas, who were selected through an open recruitment process to serve as Office Administrative Assistant and Branch Manager, respectively.
Both will support Impulsa Mendoza’s activities in southern Mendoza and serve as permanent points of contact for companies, suppliers, institutions, and other stakeholders connected to the mining sector.
Having a dedicated local team will also make it possible to identify needs and opportunities directly within the territory, strengthen ties with the local business community, and provide support to companies seeking to enter or expand their participation in the mining value chain.
A Presence Alongside Mendoza’s Main Mining Developments
With offices in the City of Mendoza, Uspallata, and Malargüe, Impulsa Mendoza is strengthening a territorial strategy focused on areas that account for a significant share of the province’s current mining development.
In Uspallata, PSJ Cobre Mendocino is moving forward as Mendoza’s first authorized copper mining operation and one of the projects marking the province’s return to copper production after decades. Its development is creating new demand for goods, services, infrastructure, and professional expertise, generating opportunities for suppliers and companies across a wide range of industries.
Malargüe, meanwhile, is at the center of the Malargüe Western Mining District (MDMO), a strategic provincial initiative aimed at advancing copper and other mineral exploration through comprehensive planning and joint environmental studies.
The program has progressed through several stages. MDMO I included 34 projects, MDMO II added another 27 exploration projects, and MDMO III encompasses 71 new initiatives across an area of more than 18,000 square kilometers.
This scale of activity is creating new opportunities for companies specializing in services, logistics, construction, technology, transportation, maintenance, and other activities linked to the mining value chain.
Impulsa Mendoza’s permanent presence in Malargüe seeks to bring these opportunities closer to local talent and facilitate connections between the needs of mining projects and the capabilities already available within each community.

Driving Investment and Turning Resources into Development
Impulsa Mendoza works to promote the development of a modern and sustainable mining industry in compliance with current regulations, while creating conditions that encourage investment and the advancement of new projects. Its work includes the development of investment tools, technical and environmental studies, and strategic planning initiatives.
At the same time, the organization connects mining development with Mendoza’s broader productive ecosystem, with the goal of ensuring that the sector’s growth translates into employment, stronger local businesses, and new opportunities for Mendoza-based suppliers.
The opening of the Malargüe office deepens this work through a territorial approach: being present where projects are being developed, bringing resources closer to the people and businesses operating in those communities, and building lasting relationships with the local productive sector.
