Thirty-five residents from Uspallata and the City of Mendoza took part in the closing activity of the Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata training program, organized by Impulsa Mendoza in partnership with the Mendoza Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CaMEM) and the Fundación Mujeres que Inspiran. As the program’s final activity, participants joined a technical field visit to the PSJ Project, where they learned about its current stage of development, its scope, and the work it carries out with the local community.
The visit was part of Impulsa Mendoza’s training initiative, designed to strengthen local capabilities by providing knowledge and practical tools related to the mining value chain, business management, and the productive development opportunities associated with the growth of the mining industry in Mendoza.
During the visit, participants received an update on the project’s current status, which is in the final plant design phase and conducting pre-construction studies. They also learned about the technical, environmental, safety, and sustainability standards that guide the project’s planning. The importance of transparency and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the community was also highlighted.

The Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata program consisted of three training modules covering mining fundamentals, business management, safety, sustainability, ESG criteria, and the industry’s common technical and operational requirements.
The initiative was created to strengthen the capabilities of the local productive ecosystem through training, networking, and business development opportunities. It supported entrepreneurs, SMEs, and prospective mining suppliers by helping them acquire the knowledge and skills needed to improve their competitiveness and access new business opportunities linked to the growth of mining and other strategic sectors in Mendoza.
The third and final module, “Safety, Sustainability, and Risk Management as Competitive Advantages,” focused on providing participants with practical tools in risk management, occupational safety, and sustainability—areas that have become increasingly important for the mining industry and other productive sectors. Throughout the program, participants developed both technical and management skills aligned with the standards required by an increasingly professionalized supply chain.
With this technical visit to the PSJ Project, a new edition of Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata came to a close, reaffirming the commitment of Impulsa Mendoza, the Fundación Mujeres que Inspiran, the Mendoza Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CaMEM), and the participating institutions to strengthening local capabilities, promoting entrepreneurship, and developing a supplier network that is better prepared to support Mendoza’s economic and productive growth.
