Impulsa Mendoza CEO Sebastián Piña joined the Argentine delegation in New York to promote investment opportunities in Mendoza and deepen the province’s connection with international capital markets.
Impulsa Mendoza CEO Sebastián Piña took part in Argentina Week 2026, held from March 9 to 12 in New York City, where he carried out an institutional agenda focused on strengthening Mendoza’s international positioning in the mining sector, promoting productive investment and expanding access to global financing tools.
Piña traveled alongside the provincial delegation led by Governor Alfredo Cornejo and Minister of Energy and Environment Jimena Latorre, who participated in a series of meetings with investors, financial institutions and representatives from the mining and energy sectors in some of the world’s leading financial centers.
Throughout the week, Mendoza developed a work agenda aimed at reinforcing the province’s visibility among international investors and global financial actors, at a time when Argentina is seeking to expand its presence in capital markets and attract investment linked to energy development and critical minerals.
As part of this strategy, Piña held meetings with mining companies, investment funds, banks and financial operators to present opportunities related to mining development projects in Mendoza and strengthen dialogue with key players in the international financing ecosystem.
“These meetings continued the relationship-building work initiated during PDAC 2026 in Toronto, one of the world’s leading mining events, and are part of Mendoza’s broader strategy to promote investment and connect with international capital markets,” Piña said.
Argentina Week brought together more than 200 investors, financial executives and representatives of international companies through a series of meetings, sector roundtables and networking events focused on showcasing investment opportunities across Argentina’s productive sectors.

The activities took place in some of New York’s main financial institutions and included working sessions at JPMorgan, Bank of America and Citibank. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in Argentina, energy development, mining and strategic resources, as well as the role of innovation, technology and financing in economic growth.
The agenda also included institutional meetings organized by the Council of the Americas and the Argentine Consulate in New York, bringing together Argentine governors, private sector representatives and international investors interested in Argentina’s economic transformation and the opportunities emerging in energy, mining and infrastructure projects.
In addition, Impulsa Mendoza participated in panels focused on the development of Argentina’s mining sector, alongside Argentina’s Secretary of Energy and Mining Daniel González, provincial authorities and industry leaders, who discussed the country’s potential in strategic minerals and the conditions needed to expand investment in the sector.
During these meetings, Mendoza presented its strategy for the development of key sectors such as copper, potash and renewable energy — resources considered strategic within the global energy transition and the growing international demand for critical minerals.
Presence in the Global Financial Ecosystem
As part of the institutional agenda, Piña also joined Minister Jimena Latorre at the Nasdaq MarketSite opening ceremony in Times Square, one of the most symbolic events in the international financial system.
The participation in the traditional Nasdaq opening bell ceremony represented an opportunity to connect Mendoza’s productive projects with global capital markets and strengthen ties with technology and financial sector leaders.
The Argentine delegation also participated in investment roundtables with other governors, where Mendoza joined discussions focused on energy and the energy transition, presenting provincial policies and strategies aimed at promoting mining, energy and productive development projects.
Preparing for the Andean Capital Forum
Impulsa Mendoza’s participation in Argentina Week is part of the province’s broader international outreach strategy, designed to connect investment opportunities with institutional investors, banks and global financial actors.
The meetings held during the week also helped advance preparations for the Andean Capital Forum, the international event that will take place in Mendoza in April and bring together investors, companies, financial institutions and mining and energy leaders.
“The meetings held throughout the week also helped move forward preparations for the Andean Capital Forum, which will take place in Mendoza in April and bring together investors, companies and financial sector leaders to analyze financing opportunities linked to mining and energy development in the region,” Piña added.
The forum aims to position Mendoza as a platform connecting productive projects, companies and capital markets while generating new financing opportunities for mining, energy and infrastructure initiatives.
Through these efforts, Mendoza continues strengthening its presence in major international economic forums and consolidating its position as a reliable destination for productive investment in strategic sectors such as energy, mining and infrastructure, amid growing global demand for resources linked to the energy transition.
