Mendoza is once again positioning itself at the center of the international mining agenda with the Andean Capital Forum, the event taking place from April 20 to 22 at the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium. The forum aims to connect mining projects from across the Andes with global investors, stock exchanges and key industry stakeholders, while promoting governance standards and international financing backed by the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), BYMA and the Mendoza Stock Exchange.
The event will feature authorities, experts and international industry leaders, and will be held for the first time as part of the Andean Bridge strategy, an initiative launched by the Province of Mendoza to position itself as a financial hub connecting mining and energy projects throughout the Andean region.
“It is an honor to host this event, which we have been working on together with Impulsa Mendoza, the Toronto Stock Exchange, IN-VR and the Mendoza Stock Exchange (BCM). It reflects Mendoza’s strategic decision to consolidate itself as a financial hub for Andean mining, bringing together projects, institutions and capital with a long-term vision,” said Mendoza’s Minister of Energy and Environment, Jimena Latorre.
A Bridge Between Mining Projects and International Investment
The main goal of the Andean Capital Forum is to connect mining projects from the Andes mountain range with international investors, stock exchanges and key industry players, helping transform them into financeable opportunities. In this way, the event is emerging as a key platform to channel capital into strategic copper, lithium and critical minerals initiatives.
The forum combines different formats designed to comprehensively address the development of the mining sector. The agenda includes conferences and panels on investment, exploration and mining development; technical workshops focused on finance, metals markets and the mining cycle; one-on-one business meetings between projects and investors; and strategic networking opportunities, including the traditional “Mines & Wines” gathering.
Three Days Focused on Financing, Projects and ESG
The event structure includes an opening day on April 20 dedicated to technical workshops and VIP networking activities. Highlights include training sessions on metals markets led by specialists from the London Metal Exchange, along with academic sessions on mining finance and industry fundamentals.
April 21 will focus on the investment landscape, project presentations and financing opportunities, while April 22 will address topics related to project financing, logistics, ESG standards and the comprehensive development of mining projects.
Leaders From the Public, Financial and Mining Sectors
The forum will feature prominent representatives from the public, financial, corporate and academic sectors. Minister Jimena Latorre will lead the opening ceremony alongside Diego Sucalesca, President of PromArgentina, representing the institutional sphere. From the financial sector, participants will include Guillaume Légaré of the Toronto Stock Exchange; Julieta Artal of BYMA; Ignacio Badaloni of Banco Galicia; and Erica Krummel Vries and Mateo Gall of Banco Comafi, together with EY specialists Ramiro San Román, Sergio Caveggia and Fernando Marticorena.
Mining industry representatives will include Sebastián Piña, CEO of Impulsa Mendoza; Fabián Gregorio, CEO of PSJ Cobre Mendocino; Javier Robeto of Aldebaran Resources; Ignacio Celorrio of Lithium Argentina Corp; James Hedalen of Kobrea; Barbara Cozzi of Lake Resources; and José Ignacio Silva of Hot Chili.
Representatives from industry chambers and institutions will also participate, including Roberto Cacciola and Alejandra Cardona from CAEM; Manuel Benítez from CAPMIN; Nadav Rajzman, economist at CAEM; Osvaldo Urzúa from CESCO; Claudia López Osorio from the Chilean College of Geologists; and Manuel Viera from the Chilean Mining Chamber.
Logistics, International Financing and Technical Training
In the areas of logistics, infrastructure and international financing, the event will feature Alejandro Núñez from Belgrano Cargas; Diana Gato from IFC; and CAF representatives Luisa Rivas and Frank Vanoy.
The academic component will be led by Professor Kamran Esmaeili from the University of Toronto and Jorge Eduardo Dyszel from the London Metal Exchange, who will oversee technical training sessions aimed at strengthening expertise in mining finance and metals markets.
A Practical Platform to Drive Investment
In addition to bringing together governments, companies, stock exchanges and financial institutions in one place, the Andean Capital Forum will showcase more than 15 investment-ready projects and facilitate direct meetings with key decision-makers from the industry, positioning itself as a concrete tool to accelerate mining development across the region.
Mendoza has been implementing a sustained strategy to establish itself as an international mining hub, based on the integration of investment, productive development and links with the world’s leading financial markets.
The province has already hosted events such as Argentina Mining Cuyo 2025, while the first edition of Argentina Rocks is scheduled for May, focusing on mineral exploration and strengthening the early stages of project development.
At the same time, Mendoza has promoted mining finance meetings involving stakeholders from Chile and Brazil, as well as forums such as the Sustainable Mining Summit, aimed at fostering international standards and technical exchange. One of the most significant milestones was Governor Alfredo Cornejo opening the Toronto Stock Exchange trading session from Mendoza, reflecting the province’s growing integration with the world’s major financial centers.
