Exploration is the first phase in the life cycle of a mining project and one of the most complex and risky: it is the moment when innovation technology is used to investigate what minerals a certain area has. This analysis requires large investments that carry a risk.
But this risk is taken for the potential of a region: this process can open the doors to new deposits that can boost the industrial and economic development of a region or country.
In other words, exploration is the process that must be carried out before installing a mine, with studies that analyse the characteristics of the land, flora and fauna, water sources, minerals in the soil and nearby communities.
The data obtained during exploration allows the quantity and quality of mineral resources to be calculated, which is vital information for estimating the feasibility of exploitation.
