“Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata” is a proposal aimed at entrepreneurs, SMEs, and potential suppliers. It will be delivered in person with a practical, territory-focused approach that seeks to provide concrete tools to improve organization, professionalization, and access to new productive opportunities.
Within the framework of the Impulsando el Conocimiento program, Impulsa Mendoza will run the training cycle “Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata,” an initiative designed to enhance business opportunities locally and strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs, SMEs, and potential suppliers linked to the mining value chain.
The program is being developed together with the Mendoza Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CaMEM) and the Women Who Inspire Foundation, and is intended to help entrepreneurs and local companies understand how the mining industry works and strengthen their capacity to grow and compete.
In this regard, Sebastián Piña, CFO of Impulsa Mendoza, said: “We are entering a new development cycle based on modern and sustainable mining. To take advantage of the opportunities ahead, it is essential to be prepared, trained, and committed to the highest sustainability standards.”
Although the course content is directly related to the mining sector, the approach is transversal, since the industry involves associated work such as logistics, industrial maintenance, technical services, catering, tourism, construction, and the supply of inputs, among others.
The proposal seeks to increase local economic development opportunities by promoting productive diversification and integrating more ventures into higher-scale value chains.
Structure of the cycle
The program is organized into three sequential modules that are not offered in parallel, allowing participants to complete the entire sequence if they wish:
Module 1: Understanding the mining industry and its opportunities – Introduces the comprehensive functioning of the mining industry, covering the life cycle of a project and the roles of the different actors involved. It analyzes how supply chains operate, demand logic, and the work culture of the sector, based on safety, quality, and standardization. It also provides tools for identifying real opportunities for local suppliers and transferring good practices to other organized economic activities.
Module 2: Preparing your business for new productive opportunities – Focuses on strengthening business management to access new markets. It addresses business formalization, financial planning, and the use of simple, scalable administrative tools. It also develops professional commercial proposal preparation, includes basic notions of quality and transversal standards, and promotes professionalizing the offering as key to expanding and sustaining business opportunities.
Module 3: Safety, sustainability, and risk management as competitive differentiators – Works on safety, sustainability, and risk management as competitive pillars. It presents safety, occupational health, and environmental principles and regulations, along with basic requirements demanded of suppliers in high-demand environments. It introduces sustainability standards and tools for managing operational and organizational risks, highlighting their practical application in sectors such as tourism, industry, logistics, and services.
Each module will have five in-person sessions, one per week, with three hours per session. Classes will be held at the Impulsa Mendoza offices in Uspallata, and spaces are limited.
The cycle will begin in March.
A program with territorial impact
The objectives of the Proyecta Proveedores Uspallata cycle include:

Who is it for
The cycle is especially aimed at microenterprises and local SMEs, ventures led by women and youth, current suppliers seeking to diversify markets and entrepreneurs with ideas linked to mining services.
